I have established
breeding station in 1967. It was the same year I have got first puppies
of Giant Schnauzers. The name of my kennel is composed of my surname and
first name. In my breeding station I have following breeds: one litter
of Sealyham Terrier, one litter of German Shepherd, four litters of
Miniature Bullterier from 3 females. This is also the stock I admire the
most of all, but because of severity of breeding and various diseases I
have dismissed this stock. I have also bred four litters of Giant
Schnauzers from two females. I had also excellent results with breeding
of Standard Schnauzers Pepper and Salt (Kora Tonvery). As a next step
I have concentrated on Standard and Miniature Schnauzers Black. I like
Standard Schnauzers for their intelligence and character – they are
easily exercised, very snuggy and dashing. But most of all it is healthy
and sturdy race and it is not susceptible to disease. I have been
breeding Minature Schnauzers since 1973 and Standard Schnauzers since
1976.
In the breeding I
focus on deployment of my knowledge, which are in turn composed of
advises form aged and top-notch breeders. I also participate and watch
for czech and international kennel by means of enticements and animal
musters and exhibitions. It forms bottom baseline for dog selection for
backing. I have always preferred basic signs of race given by outdoor as
well as by character (quadratic body composition, au fait angulation,
nobility of head and neck, full-teeth, fur quality, character
equilibration and so on). Of course I watch for more criteria.
I devote myself
animal education since 1961. I educate Schnauzers, but I also undergo
exams with them. Until 1990 there was one exam in pair obligatory,
although only few have passed, so that possibility of selection was
severely reduced. I have had advantage that all of my females passed the
exam and thus I had substantially greater possibility of dog selection.
After year 1990 are all carried out exams written in the ancestry
document, but working qualities of Standard and Miniature Schnauzers are
not registered. For example, for Miniature and Standard Schnauzers there
are only controlled breeding. Concerning Giant Schnauzers, who belong to
working race, there is morover category of efficiency standard breeding.
I presume that kennel
of Standard Schnauzers Black is far more complex that other sizes and
colours. In the age of my breeding era there were acclimatized 4 dogs,
who founded our breeding. First one, „Gento v. Mundental“ is father of
my founder of breeding, Gipsy Patria Bohemica“. Then I have used for
breeding dog Bingo Onyx from Switzerland. Some imported dogs have not
fulfilled my criteria and that´s why I have not used them for my
breeding.
It is extremely
difficult to figure out the best female or kennel. There was excellent
rearing after combination of Bingo Onyx, which I have never repeated in
future. After this dog and after Fin z Nopaky I had far better rearings
and results on exhibitions. I have guessed and imported dog from Holland,
breeding station Coson's. This dog unfortunately died at the age of four.
The best offsprings came from following combinations: Bety z Hofjaru &
Bingo Onyx, Grey z Hofjaru & Fin z Nopaky, Xera and Elfe z Hofjaru &
Body z Areru, Flér z Hofjaru & Adam Aprilia, Elfe and Laura z Hofjaru &
Coson's Cham ist Going East. In the past years it was not easy for me as
well as for the others visit exhibitions in abroad. But if I have
participated in exhibition abroad, I have usually won with my dogs. My
breeding of Standard Schnauzers in the meantime represents eight ancestor
generations from my on breeding.
Concerning breeding
of Miniature Schnauzers Black I have reached high quality results. First
of all there were european ancestry, especially from german breeding. My
first breeding female „Era Domácí skřítek“ belonged to first generation
offsprings of this rase in Czech republic, which was based on imported
german blood. My first stud dog was „Gin od Popovky“ from breeding of
Hilda Žáková, long-standing and important czech breeder. Then followed
Chera Tonvery, Ina z Hofjaru after my dog Nurmi Trézsivári, which I have
imported from Hungary. Not until 1990s there was inflow of american
breedings. My first female from these breedings was Suelen Moldau North.
In the present time I already breed with my own rearings. |
